Holiday Love: Fuufukan Renai

Holiday Love: Fuufukan Renai was produced by Production I.G and released in 2018 as a series of short-form original net animation (ONA) episodes. It serves as a digital adaptation of the manga series written by Deema Murakami and illustrated by Yonemine, which explores the complexities of marital infidelity and the emotional toll of broken trust. The animation was crafted to complement the source material's mature themes, focusing on the internal psychological struggles of characters navigating the fallout of an affair.

The production team at Production I.G sought to translate the manga's intense dramatic atmosphere into a concise episodic format, emphasizing character-driven storytelling over high-octane action. By condensing the narrative into shorter segments, the studio aimed to capture the essence of the original work's emotional tension, providing a focused look at the characters' domestic lives. The series was generally received as a faithful reflection of the manga's tone, maintaining its focus on the fragility of relationships.
