Where it came from
Homecoming is an original net animation produced by the studio HMCH, created to explore themes of nostalgia and the emotional weight of returning to one's roots. Released as a niche digital project, the production aimed to capture the quiet, contemplative aesthetic typical of independent atmospheric animation, prioritizing character-driven storytelling over high-octane spectacle.
The design of the project focused on a muted color palette and soft-focus backgrounds, intended to evoke a sense of fleeting memory and longing. While it did not receive a wide mainstream release, the piece gained a dedicated following within animation circles for its technical consistency and its successful execution of a minimalist narrative style.
