Hua Jianghu: Buliang Ren 6

Hua Jianghu: Buliang Ren, or Bad Guys, is a prominent Chinese 3D animated series produced by Tencent Penguin Pictures and originally developed by Ruochen Technology. The sixth season continues the expansive wuxia narrative, which is set during the historical transition between the Tang and Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms periods. The series has become a cornerstone of Chinese ONA production, noted for its complex political intrigue and the evolution of its protagonist, Li Xingyun, as he navigates a world of warring factions.

The visual design of the series reflects a shift toward increasingly sophisticated 3D character modeling and motion capture technology, which became a hallmark of the franchise by its sixth iteration. The production team aimed for a darker, more mature tone compared to earlier seasons, focusing on refined combat choreography and detailed period costuming. Upon its release, the sixth season was well-received by the domestic audience for its narrative ambition and technical improvements, solidifying its place as a significant contribution to the current landscape of Chinese animation.
