I'm here

I'm here was produced by Geidai Animation, the renowned animation program at the Tokyo University of the Arts, known for fostering unique, auteur-driven storytelling. Created as a graduation project, the film emerged from an environment that prioritizes experimental techniques and individual artistic voice over commercial trends. It reflects the meticulous attention to detail and thematic introspection often associated with the department’s emphasis on traditional frame-by-frame craftsmanship.

The film serves as a poignant exploration of identity and personal space, utilizing minimalist animation to ground its narrative. By stripping away visual clutter, the creators focused on the emotional resonance of the protagonist's journey. Upon its release, it garnered attention within the independent animation festival circuit for its quiet, contemplative atmosphere, marking a notable achievement for the student directors who sought to challenge conventional narrative pacing.
