I'M KODAMA KAWASHIRI

I'm Kodama Kawashiri is a television anime series produced by the studio Lapin Track, which premiered in 2022. It is based on the popular autobiographical manga series by Kodama Kawashiri, originally shared on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter. The series captures the humorous and often chaotic daily life of the creator, reflecting a shift in animation production that highlights the relatable, slice-of-life aesthetic found in digital-first storytelling.

The adaptation was directed by Shingo Natsume, who sought to translate the manga's distinctively raw and minimalist visual style into a rhythmic, episodic format. The series focuses on the mundane yet erratic habits of its protagonist, emphasizing a comedic tone that resonates with modern viewers familiar with the anxieties and idiosyncrasies of contemporary living. Upon its release, the show was noted for its brevity and its ability to effectively distill the humor of the original manga panels into a fluid, animated medium.
