Imaizumi's house seems to be a gathering place for gals

Imaizumi's house seems to be a gathering place for gals was produced as an adult-oriented OVA by the studio T-REX and released in 2021. The production draws from the established doujinshi work of artist Itagaki Hako, whose character-focused storytelling gained significant popularity within the adult manga community for its distinct art style and narrative approach. The adaptation was designed to bring these static character interactions into an animated format, focusing on the specific character dynamics that defined the original print material.

The reception of this OVA is largely situated within the niche market of adult animation, where it is recognized for its adherence to the source material's visual aesthetic. The animation direction sought to preserve the proportions and expressions that fans of Itagaki Hako's work had come to expect, prioritizing a faithful visual transition from page to screen. As with many works from T-REX in this period, the project was received as a direct catering to a dedicated existing fanbase, emphasizing continuity with the series' established themes and character archetypes.
