Inazuma Eleven: The Seal of Orion

Inazuma Eleven: Orion no Kokuin, known as The Seal of Orion, debuted in 2018 as the successor to the Ares no Tenbin series. Produced by OLM, this installment marked a return to the international tournament format that defined the original franchise, focusing on a new iteration of the Inazuma Japan national team. The series was designed to blend the high-stakes dramatic narrative of professional sports anime with the supernatural, super-powered soccer mechanics that have remained the series' signature since its inception.

The character designs, maintained under the supervision of Level-5, aimed to bridge the gap between veteran fans of the series and a younger demographic, keeping the vibrant, kinetic aesthetic the studio is known for. While the series was highly anticipated for bringing back iconic characters from across the franchise's timeline, it received a mixed reception from critics and long-term fans who noted a complex, sometimes fragmented narrative pacing. Despite these challenges, it remains a notable entry for its role in concluding the modern revival era of the Inazuma Eleven saga.
