Indie Anibox: Selma's Protein Coffee

Indie Anibox, a series project by Studio Dadashow, was conceived as an experimental platform for independent animation, aiming to provide a curated space for short-form storytelling that deviates from mainstream industry tropes. The specific installment, Selma's Protein Coffee, emerged during a period of rising interest in the intersection of mundane daily routines and surrealist narrative art, reflecting the studio's interest in minimalist character-driven plots.

The animation style is defined by a clean, deliberate aesthetic that leans into the dry humor inherent in the studio’s creative philosophy. By focusing on the quiet, observational details of its lead character's morning ritual, the creators sought to capture a sense of grounded absurdity. The film was well-regarded within small-scale independent animation circles for its technical restraint and its ability to turn a singular, everyday activity into a cohesive, atmospheric piece of visual storytelling.
