Inferious Wakusei Senshi Gaiden: CONDITION GREEN

Inferious Wakusei Senshi Gaiden: CONDITION GREEN was produced by Hero Communication and released in 1991 as an original video animation. Arriving during the peak of the original video animation boom in Japan, this title was designed to capitalize on the popularity of the science fiction and mecha genres that dominated the home video market at the time. It serves as a spin-off to the broader Inferious series, attempting to expand the franchise's lore through a self-contained narrative that focuses on tactical combat scenarios.

The production sought to emulate the high-stakes atmosphere characteristic of military-themed anime from the early 1990s. While Hero Communication was known for smaller-scale projects, the visual design reflected the aesthetic trends of the era, prioritizing mechanical detail and dramatic character interactions to appeal to dedicated fans of the genre. Upon its release, it was met with modest reception, recognized primarily by enthusiasts of niche science fiction titles who appreciate the experimentation and creative risks common to the direct-to-video anime market of that period.
