Infini-T Force

Infini-T Force was produced by Tatsunoko Production to commemorate the studio's 55th anniversary, serving as a crossover event that brings together the protagonists of four of their most iconic classic series: Gatchaman, Tekkaman, Hurricane Polimar, and Casshan. Premiering in 2017, the series functions as a reimagining of these legendary heroes who are pulled from their respective timelines into a modern-day Shibuya to protect a mysterious girl holding a device that can alter reality. The project was conceived as a bridge between the studio's rich legacy of 1970s science fiction and a new generation of audiences.

The visual direction of the series is notable for its adoption of full 3D computer-generated imagery, a deliberate choice by the production team to provide a contemporary aesthetic to the classic character designs. While the transition to a modern cel-shaded CG style was a point of discussion among long-time fans of the traditional hand-drawn iterations, the production sought to emphasize dynamic action sequences and cinematic camera work. The series was met with interest from both nostalgic viewers and those attracted to the technical novelty of the crossover, ultimately leading to a feature-length film conclusion.
