Kamiyashiro Chikage was raised as a fighter of Shumisen, a secret society to seal mononke demons using special spirits called "In". When he was small, his father was killed by traitors to Shumisen and the trauma had made him withdraw into himself. Where it came from
Install Pilot was released in 2011 as a special production by Asahi Production, designed to serve as an experimental showcase of animation techniques within the broader context of Japanese studio work during that era. It functions primarily as a technical demonstration piece, reflecting the studio's desire to push the boundaries of digital compositing and character movement in an increasingly competitive industry landscape.
The piece was conceived during a period when Asahi Production was diversifying its portfolio, moving beyond subcontracting to establish a more distinct aesthetic identity. While it remained a niche release, it is regarded by industry historians as a deliberate effort to emphasize fluidity and atmospheric lighting, showcasing the studio's technical competence to prospective clients and collaborators in the anime sector.
