JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken: Phantom Blood

JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken: Phantom Blood was produced by A.P.P.P. and released in Japanese theaters in 2007 to commemorate the twentieth anniversary of Hirohiko Araki’s long-running manga series. The film serves as an adaptation of the first story arc, focusing on the bitter rivalry between Jonathan Joestar and Dio Brando during the Victorian era. It was intended to bring the foundational narrative of the franchise to the big screen, utilizing a visual style that sought to capture the dramatic, gothic aesthetics of the source material.

The production of the film is largely shrouded in mystery within the anime community, as it was only screened briefly in Japanese theaters before disappearing from public view. It has never seen an official home media release on DVD or Blu-ray, leading to its status as a piece of lost media. While enthusiasts have occasionally recovered snippets of footage from promotional materials or archived trailers, the full film remains inaccessible to the general public, contributing to its near-mythic reputation among fans of the series.
