Kaitou Queen no Yuuga na Vacances

Kaitou Queen no Yuuga na Vacances, or The Phantom Queen's Elegant Vacation, continues the long-running animated adaptation of the light novel series by Kaoru Hayamine. Produced by Pony Canyon and animated by East Fish Studio, the film builds upon the 2022 project that brought the iconic cat burglar Queen to the screen. The production aims to maintain the character's sophisticated, high-stakes aesthetic while leaning into the comedic and adventurous tone established by the original source material.

The character design remains faithful to K2 Shoukai's original illustrations, which prioritize a blend of classic gentleman-thief archetypes with modern, stylish sensibilities. The film is crafted to appeal both to long-term readers of the series and a new generation of viewers, focusing on themes of elegance and wit during a vacation gone wrong. It represents a continuation of the franchise's successful transition into theatrical animation, receiving attention for its vibrant art direction and character chemistry.
