Kakuriyo -Bed & Breakfast for Spirits- 2

Kakuriyo: Bed & Breakfast for Spirits, or Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi, began as a light novel series written by Midori Yuma and illustrated by Laruha. The narrative follows Aoi Tsubaki, a university student who inherits her grandfather's ability to see ayakashi and is subsequently whisked away to the hidden realm to honor a debt. The 2025 television series produced by Studio GONZO serves as a continuation of this supernatural journey, adapting the established charm of the original literary work into a new visual format.

The animation design focuses on the contrast between the mundane human world and the vibrant, traditional aesthetic of the Tenjin-ya inn. Studio GONZO sought to maintain the atmospheric quality of the source material while evolving the character animation to suit contemporary production standards. As a successor to the earlier adaptation, this series aims to satisfy long-time readers and newcomers alike by preserving the central themes of cultural heritage and the delicate bond between humans and spirits.
