Kanojo ga Kanji wo Suki na Riyuu.

Kanojo ga Kanji wo Suki na Riyuu, which translates to The Reason She Loves Kanji, was released in 2015 as an original net animation produced by the renowned Japanese animation studio Studio 4°C. The short film was commissioned as part of a promotional campaign for the Japanese language learning mobile application Kanji Study, aimed at highlighting the beauty and structural logic of kanji characters for international learners.

The film is characterized by the distinct, experimental aesthetic associated with Studio 4°C, prioritizing fluid character animation and an evocative, minimalist visual style. By weaving a gentle narrative around the process of character acquisition, the creators sought to demystify complex ideograms. It was well-received within the animation community for its ability to transform a technical subject into a visually poetic experience, standing as a testament to the studio's capacity for high-quality, brief-form storytelling.
