Provenance

Where it came from

The Kanojo, Okarishimasu 2nd Season Petit series consists of short, comedic animated vignettes produced by studio AQUA ARIS in 2022. These segments were developed to accompany the second season of the popular romantic comedy anime Rent-a-Girlfriend, which is based on the ongoing manga series by Reiji Miyajima. The project was designed as supplemental promotional content to highlight the character dynamics of the show's main cast in a stylized, chibi-inspired format.

The animation style favored a simplified aesthetic, departing from the detailed character designs of the main series to focus on lighthearted, low-stakes humor. This approach was intended to engage the existing fan base on social media platforms and streaming services during the second season's broadcast. While these petit episodes were not intended to advance the central narrative, they served as a cohesive extension of the franchise's visual branding and were received as a brief, entertaining addition to the broader anime production.
