Akimitsu went to his grandfather's village, and he was sacrificed to "Karakara-sama", the god of the water. However it was a beautiful and lovely girl that appeared. Her name was Moeki, and she said she had to have sex as a ritual. Not to mention, he couldn't reject her, and he made love with her. After that, when she came back to the heaven, she noticed that she had forgot to ask the way to come back. Because he couldn't let her alone, they began to live together. Then, their sweet life began... or so someone thought, but there already two beautiful devil girls, Hibki and Kodama, were living in his town. Immediately, they began to attack Akimitsu. Where it came from
Karakara-sama no Himitsu was produced in 2001 as an original video animation, serving as an expansion to the broader Karakara-sama franchise. This medium allowed creators to delve into specific side stories and character backstories that were not fully explored in the main source material, a common practice for independent or niche animation titles of that era seeking to maintain audience engagement through direct-to-home video releases.
The production utilized a modest animation style characteristic of early 2000s experimental OVAs, focusing on intimate character dynamics rather than high-budget spectacle. While it remains a relatively obscure title in the global market, it is recognized by collectors of the period as a stylistic snapshot of the era's transition into digital animation, valued primarily for its role in filling gaps within the internal mythology of the Karakara-sama series.
