Keijo!!!!!!!! Specials

The Keijo!!!!!!!! Specials were produced by Studio Xebec in 2016 as a supplementary accompaniment to the main television anime series. This series was an adaptation of Daichi Sorayomi’s manga, which gained cult attention for its absurdist premise involving a fictional sport where competitors use their breasts and buttocks to knock opponents off floating platforms. The specials were designed to maintain the high-energy, tongue-in-cheek tone of the source material while utilizing the same vibrant character designs and fluid animation style that defined the primary production.

These short-form episodes were released as part of the home video collections to provide additional content for fans who appreciated the series' blend of sports tropes and fanservice. In the context of 2016 anime, the studio aimed to lean into the lighthearted and exaggerated nature of the franchise, focusing on character interactions that did not fit into the standard episode runtime. The reception among the core fanbase was generally aligned with the main series, praised for its commitment to the show's unique and self-aware aesthetic.
