Kirihara Aruto loves the stories of Alice, so much so that he begins to write one. One night while writing, he sees a girl out his window who he thinks is Alice. He follows her, and discovers that she is called a Seeker of Alice, and with the powers granted to her she fights other Seekers of Alice to take their eternal story, in order to find the part that belongs to the Eternal Alice.
Throughout Aruto's adventures with Arisugawa Arisu, his little sister Kirihara Kiraha and their various friends they discover more about the land of Alice, about the novels, the man who wrote them, and their own powers.

Where it came from
Key Princess Story Eternal Alice Rondo was produced by Trinet Entertainment and released in 2006 as a television anime series. It emerged during a period of experimentation within the magical girl genre, attempting to blend classic fairytale motifs with contemporary anime aesthetics. The project was conceived as a creative reinterpretation of the Alice in Wonderland narrative, reimagining the titular character and her journey through a high-fantasy, competition-based framework involving multiple princesses vying for a throne.
The series is noted for its ambitious character designs and distinct visual style, which aimed to modernize traditional storybook archetypes for an otaku audience. Despite these efforts, the show received a mixed reception upon release, with critics often citing its fragmented pacing and complex plot structure as barriers to mainstream success. It remains a cult curiosity within the 2000s anime landscape, representing an era where studios frequently took risks on original intellectual properties that diverged from established manga source material.
