KINMOZA The Movie: Thank you!!

KINMOZA! The Movie: Thank you!! was released in 2021 as the cinematic conclusion to the anime adaptation of Yui Hara's four-panel manga series. Produced by Studio AXsiZ under the direction of Munenori Nawa, the film was designed to provide a definitive farewell to the characters, focusing on the graduation of the core cast and the culmination of the cross-cultural friendship between Japanese student Shinobu and British student Alice. The production aimed to maintain the series' signature aesthetic of 'iyashikei'—or healing-style animation—prioritizing soft color palettes and gentle character designs to evoke a sense of warmth and closure.

The film was received by the audience as a heartfelt coda to the television series that had spanned several seasons since 2013. Critics and fans noted that the production successfully transitioned the episodic, lighthearted nature of the manga into a narrative-focused feature length format. By emphasizing the passage of time and the inevitable separation inherent in the characters' graduation, the film served as a deliberate thank you to the fanbase, grounding its emotional stakes in the simple, relatable milestones of adolescent development.
