Where it came from
Kira Kira is a high-energy music video production spearheaded by the creative studio OTOIRO. Released as part of the studio's focus on blending dynamic 2D animation with rhythmic musical compositions, the project serves as a showcase for OTOIRO's distinct visual language, which emphasizes fluidity, vibrant color palettes, and seamless integration between character movement and sound design.
The creative direction behind Kira Kira reflects OTOIRO's commitment to independent artist collaboration, often involving a tight-knit team of animators and composers who prioritize a 'total' sensory experience. Designed to evoke a sense of kinetic joy, the project was well-received within animation and J-pop circles for its technical precision and its ability to maintain a consistent aesthetic identity across its short-form runtime.
