Kiratto Pri☆Chan Season 2

Kiratto Pri☆Chan Season 2 was produced by Tatsunoko Production and Dongwoo A&E as the direct sequel in the long-running Pretty Series franchise. Premiering in 2019, the season was developed to expand upon the digital-influencer theme established in the first season, focusing on the concept of 'Jewel Idols' and the introduction of a new competitive tournament system. The creative direction aimed to maintain the high-energy, idol-performance aesthetic that defines the franchise while transitioning toward more complex narrative arcs involving the newly introduced Jewel audition process.

The character designs and visual style were crafted to emphasize vibrancy and fashion-forward aesthetics, leaning into the trend of live-streaming and social media culture popular among the target demographic of young viewers. As the series progressed, it was received as a natural evolution of the Pri☆Chan brand, successfully integrating new mechanics like the Jewel Change transformation. Critics and fans of the series noted that the season maintained the lighthearted, supportive tone of its predecessor while elevating the visual production quality of the musical performances.
