Laid-Back Camp The Movie was produced by studio C-Station and released in 2022 as a cinematic expansion of the popular Iyashikei anime series. Following the success of the television adaptations, which were based on the manga by Afro, the film project was conceived to portray the main characters as young adults navigating their professional lives while maintaining their shared passion for camping. The production aimed to preserve the series' signature gentle pacing and atmospheric depiction of the Japanese outdoors, moving the narrative focus toward the collaborative effort of building a campsite from the ground up.
