Where it came from
Legend of Exorcism, produced by Sparkly Key Animation, is a notable entry in the Chinese animation landscape that adapts the popular web novel of the same name. Released as an original net animation, the series was designed to showcase advancements in 3D cel-shaded animation techniques within the domestic industry, aiming to blend traditional martial arts aesthetics with high-fantasy supernatural elements.
The production team focused on creating fluid, high-fidelity action sequences that pushed the boundaries of standard streaming fare at the time of its release. While the series was developed to appeal to fans of cultivation and historical fantasy genres, it gained recognition for its ambitious visual scale and its commitment to faithfully translating the intricate world-building of the source material to an episodic format.
