MEGATON MUSASHI Season 2

Megaton Musashi Season 2 was produced by OLM and released in 2022 as a continuation of Level-5's multimedia project. The series serves as an expansion of the narrative established in the first season, focusing on the high-stakes conflict between humanity and the alien force known as the Draktors. The story centers on pilots operating massive mecha, combining traditional robot anime tropes with Level-5's characteristic focus on interconnected storytelling across video games and television.

The design and production were overseen by the creative team at Level-5, with Akihiro Hino serving as the primary architect behind the series' aesthetic and narrative direction. OLM handled the animation, utilizing a blend of 3D modeling for the intricate mechanical combat scenes and 2D character art for personal drama. The series aimed to refine the visual identity of the franchise while responding to the feedback received during the initial launch, providing a more focused and polished experience for its dedicated audience.
