Miru Tights

Miru Tights originated as a series of illustrations by the artist Yom, who gained significant popularity on social media for his highly detailed depictions of hosiery and fashion. Recognizing the niche appeal of the subject matter, Yokohama Animation Lab adapted these illustrations into a short-form original net animation (ONA) series in 2019, directed by Yuki Ogawa. The project was conceived as a visual exploration of texture and aesthetic detail, focusing on the quality of fabric and the characters' daily interactions.

The production sought to push the boundaries of digital animation by emphasizing realistic lighting and shading effects on the characters' tights, distinguishing it from traditional character-driven anime.
