Monkart Race is the most popular sport in the kingdom, as the highest ranker can be selected as knight. 12 year-old Jin of Latona Village also dreams to be the winner someday. One day, Destro, commander of the knights, invades the kingdom and tries to marry princess Sena. The princess escapes and comes across Jin. Where it came from
Monkart originated as a South Korean animated television series produced by SAMG Animation, designed to capitalize on the popular trend of creature-collecting franchises. The show was conceived as a high-octane adventure blending fantasy racing with monster-battling mechanics, intended to appeal to a global audience of young children who enjoy themes of camaraderie and competitive sports.
The aesthetic of Monkart relies on a stylized fusion of mechanical vehicle design and anthropomorphic creature design, a hallmark of SAMG's production style. While the series received moderate recognition within its target demographic for its vibrant animation and toy-ready character designs, it remains a distinct entry in the studio's portfolio, reflecting the mid-2010s trend of cross-media intellectual properties designed for simultaneous television broadcast and merchandise integration.
