Moshi Juexing: Ruqin

Moshi Juexing, also known as Apocalypse Awakening, is a Chinese original net animation (ONA) produced by Tencent Penguin Pictures. Released within the robust ecosystem of Tencent's digital content platforms, the series reflects the broader trend of high-budget 3D animated adaptations originating from popular Chinese web novels and manhua. These productions are designed to capitalize on the massive domestic interest in apocalyptic and supernatural survival narratives, utilizing stylized 3D modeling that has become the hallmark of the contemporary Tencent animation house aesthetic.

The series focuses on intense, cinematic action sequences and character-driven drama, intended to compete with both traditional anime and Western CG animation styles. The production team prioritized fluid motion capture and detailed environmental rendering to establish a bleak, high-stakes atmosphere characteristic of the subgenre. Upon its release, the project was received as a significant entry in the platform's expanding library, noted primarily for its technical production values and its role in reinforcing the studio’s dominance in the serialized streaming animation market.
