Where it came from
Wandaba Style: Mix JUICE no Tsukurikata is a single-episode original video animation released in 2003 as part of the broader Mousou Kagaku (Delusional Science) project. Produced by studio TNK, the project was designed as a multimedia experiment intended to capture the chaotic energy of early 2000s otaku culture through a blend of science fiction, slapstick comedy, and musical elements.
The series centers on a ragtag group of characters attempting to build a rocket to launch an idol into space, a premise that allowed the creators to experiment with offbeat visual gags and experimental pacing. While the series maintains a niche status within the history of TNK, it is frequently cited by enthusiasts for its unique aesthetic choices and its commitment to the absurdist tone characteristic of the era's smaller, self-contained animation productions.
