Na Nian Na Tu Naxie Shir 5

Na Nian Na Tu Naxie Shir, often referred to as Year Hare Affair, originated as a webcomic created by the artist Lin Chao in 2011. The series functions as an allegorical retelling of modern Chinese history, utilizing personified animals to represent various nations. The fifth installment continues the series' established narrative style, characterized by a blend of historical reenactment, patriotic themes, and internet-era humor that resonated strongly with a younger demographic during its online serialization.

The animation is produced by the studio Wind Under the Wings, which aimed to translate Lin Chao's distinctive character designs into a digestible, episodic format. The design philosophy emphasizes recognizable, simplified iconography that allows viewers to easily identify the geopolitical stand-ins for global powers. While the series has been a subject of significant academic and critical discourse regarding its nationalistic messaging and soft-power influence, it remains a central pillar of contemporary Chinese web animation, appreciated by its target audience for its specific historical perspective and narrative consistency.
