Na Nian Na Tu Naxie Shir 2

Na Nian Na Tu Naxie Shir, often referred to by fans as Year Hare Affair, emerged as a significant piece of Chinese internet culture, originating from a webcomic series by the artist Lin Chao. The series employs an allegorical narrative style, representing various nations and historical events through anthropomorphic animals to depict the geopolitical history of 20th-century China. The second installment continued the studio's practice of blending historical retelling with a distinct, patriotic sentiment that resonated deeply with a younger generation of domestic viewers.

The production was spearheaded by the animation studio Wind Under the Wings, which aimed to make complex historical milestones accessible and engaging through the medium of short-form animation. The design language, characterized by a simplistic and approachable aesthetic, was intentional in its contrast to the gravity of the historical themes it portrayed. Upon its release, the series became a notable cultural touchstone, sparking widespread discussion regarding the representation of historical narratives in digital media and fostering a dedicated following that appreciated its unique blend of political history and popular animation tropes.
