Where it came from
Nami Hexin: Jueze Pian, known internationally as A Will Eternal: Decision Chapter, represents a continuation of the popular animated series produced by Coastline Animation Studio. Released as an ONA (Original Net Animation), the project stems from the studio's broader commitment to adapting high-fantasy xianxia literature, specifically the web novel by Er Gen. This installment was crafted to translate the intricate cultivation progression and comedic tone of the source material into a high-fidelity 3D aesthetic that has become a hallmark of the studio's production pipeline.
The design philosophy behind the series focuses on blending traditional Chinese aesthetic elements with modern digital rendering techniques to distinguish it within a competitive market of 3D animation. Coastline Animation prioritized fluid combat choreography and expressive character modeling to maintain engagement with the established fanbase. Upon release, the series received generally positive reception for its technical visual improvements over earlier seasons and its faithfulness to the character dynamics defined in the original web novel.
