The Warriors of the night come out to play!
A vampire sits on his throne, biding his time as he waits for his power to return. A succubus princess searches for excitement amongst the mortals in the human world. An undead rock star takes to the stage, even as robed figures clutching holy symbols fill the stands.
Though different in nature, these beings all have one thing in common: they are the Darkstalkers, creatures of legends once thought to be only myth, but now are all too real! In this world, the Earth we know is merging with the world of demons, and the Darkstalkers have come out to play. But an alien force is returning to Earth, just as the fighting is about to heat up.

Where it came from
Night Warriors: Darkstalkers' Revenge is a four-episode original video animation series released in 1997 by the renowned studio Madhouse. It serves as an adaptation of Capcom's popular fighting game series, Darkstalkers, which brought a distinct gothic horror aesthetic to the arcade fighting genre. The production was directed by Masashi Ikeda, who aimed to synthesize the vibrant, monstrous character designs of the source material with the moody, cinematic atmosphere of traditional dark fantasy anime.
The series centers on the conflict involving the vampire Demitri Maximoff and the alien entity Pyron, attempting to translate the game's idiosyncratic combat mechanics into a coherent narrative arc. While it was produced during a period when game-to-anime adaptations were common, this particular effort was well-received by fans of the era for its fluid animation quality and for faithfully capturing the surreal, nightmarish tone that defined the original Capcom titles.
