Ninja Slayer from Animation

Ninja Slayer from Animation was produced by the studio Trigger and released in 2015 as a series of original net animations. It was adapted from the cyberpunk novel series of the same name, originally written by American authors Bradley Bond and Philip Ninj@ Morzez. The adaptation was directed by Akira Amemiya, who sought to capture the series' hyper-stylized, irreverent tone through a unique aesthetic that blended traditional animation with limited-frame movements and static, comic-book-inspired visual cues.

The series became a point of significant discourse due to its experimental visual direction, which polarized viewers who were accustomed to more fluid, conventional animation styles. The production team intentionally utilized an abrasive and kinetic design language to mirror the chaotic energy of the source material.
