Noblesse: Awakening

Noblesse: Awakening was released in 2016 as a 30-minute original net animation produced by Studio I.G. It serves as an adaptation of the early chapters of the popular Korean webtoon Noblesse, created by Son Jeho and Lee Kwangsu. The project was conceived to bring the long-running manhwa series to an international audience, focusing on the awakening of Cadis Etrama Di Raizel from his centuries-long slumber and his subsequent integration into modern human society.

The production sought to balance the dark, supernatural intensity of the source material with the polished aesthetic typical of Studio I.G's animation style. Shunsuke Tada served as the director, aiming to distill the complex world-building of the webtoon into a standalone experience. While the project was met with interest from existing fans of the webtoon, it functioned primarily as a condensed introduction to the series' high-stakes conflict, ultimately paving the way for a more extensive television adaptation in later years.
