One day, Sandy's father, Prof. Brown, sends her a stuffed koala doll from one of his trips. Sandy discovers that, after rubbing the koala's nose, he comes alive. His name is Blinky and he is from the magical "down under" Koalawalla Land. They are soon joined by his little sister, Pinky. Adventures ensue in both Sandy's world and Koalawalla land. Among the characters met are 2 men after the "magical talking bear", a lizard that bounces back and forth from the magical realm and the real realm, and kangaroo police officers.

Where it came from
Produced by Nippon Animation and released in 1984, Noozles—known in Japan as Fushigi na Koala Blinky—is an animated television series centered on a young girl named Sandy and her encounter with magical koalas from the dimension of G'Day. The series emerged during a period when Nippon Animation was known for its adaptations of classic literature and gentle, character-driven storytelling, aiming to capture the curiosity of young children through themes of fantasy and cross-dimensional adventure.
The character design and visual direction reflect the distinct aesthetic of 1980s Japanese animation, prioritizing soft, appealing silhouettes and expressive facial features to ground the whimsical, surreal elements of the narrative. While the show enjoyed a modest international footprint and became a nostalgic staple for many who grew up during the late 1980s and early 1990s, it remains a smaller-scale project within the studio's extensive history, appreciated primarily for its imaginative premise and sentimental tone.
