Where it came from
Odekake Hololive emerged from the broader strategy of Cover Corp to expand the reach of their virtual talent agency beyond livestreaming and into traditional episodic media. Produced as a series of short-form travelogues, the project was designed to showcase the VTubers in a more grounded, real-world context, moving away from their usual gaming or talk-show environments to explore various locations across Japan.
The production relies on a blend of 2D character assets integrated into location-based footage, maintaining the signature aesthetic of the Hololive brand while emphasizing a 'day out' atmosphere. By leveraging the existing personalities of the talent, the series functions as both lifestyle content and a promotional tool for local tourism, aiming to provide a comforting and accessible experience for fans of the agency.
