One Hundred Thousand Bad Jokes

One Hundred Thousand Bad Jokes, produced by L² Studio, emerged as an experimental entry within the studio's portfolio during a period when they were exploring avant-garde narrative structures. The project was conceived as an exercise in sheer volume, aiming to test the limits of comedic endurance and audience patience. By leaning into the absurdity of its title, the studio positioned the film as a subversion of traditional cinematic pacing and humor, intentionally utilizing repetitive or surreal sequences to provoke a reaction from the viewer rather than a traditional narrative arc.

The creative direction behind the film favored a minimalist aesthetic that focused on the delivery of rapid-fire vignettes. Designers and writers at L² Studio sought to strip away the artifice of professional polish, creating a raw and intentionally disjointed experience that mirrored the chaotic nature of internet-era humor. Upon its release, the film garnered a polarizing reception, with some critics appreciating its audacious commitment to a singular, repetitive theme, while others viewed it as a deliberately taxing viewing experience.
