Where it came from
One of Us, produced by the animation studio Sanzigen, represents a distinct entry in the studio's portfolio known for its specialized use of cel-shaded 3D computer graphics. Sanzigen emerged as a significant force in the industry by refining the technical integration of digital assets within traditional anime aesthetics, focusing on fluidity and depth. This particular title reflects the studio's broader commitment to pushing the boundaries of independent production and experimental storytelling techniques that prioritize character-driven narratives.
The creative direction for Sanzigen projects typically emphasizes a rigorous blend of high-fidelity animation and deliberate pacing. By maintaining a focus on internal production, the studio has cultivated a recognizable signature style that differentiates its works from the standard industry output. One of Us benefits from this focused development process, standing as a testament to the studio's efforts to standardize and elevate the quality of domestic 3D animation practices in Japan.
