One Piece: Adventure of Nebulandia

Adventure of Nebulandia was produced by Toei Animation as a standalone television special airing in December 2015. It was designed to bridge the narrative gap during a hiatus in the long-running One Piece anime series, specifically targeting the period following the Dressrosa arc. The special was directed by Kōnosuke Uda, a veteran of the franchise who aimed to deliver a self-contained seafaring adventure that emphasized the core chemistry of the Straw Hat crew while introducing the antagonistic Foxy Pirates once again.

The narrative centers on the island of Nebulandia, a location designed to neutralize the abilities of Devil Fruit users, forcing the characters to rely on their wits and physical prowess rather than supernatural powers. The visual design retains the vibrant, high-energy aesthetic consistent with the series' modern television output. Upon its release, it was received as a lighthearted diversion that successfully maintained the tone of the overarching saga without significantly altering the series' established continuity.
