In the near future, technology has made a few leaps and bounds, and videophones and constant wireless internet access are available to everyone. However, it would seen that the government has been careless and a skilled hacker was able to break into the national information archive. Using the data held there he creates the Platonic Chain website for people to discover information about themselves and their friends. Words start to spread quickly that there is a site that enables you to look up anything. Coincidentally, three young girls, Hitomi, Rika, and Kanae, are able to access the site.

Where it came from
Platonic Chain: Web was released in 2003 by the digital art collective ACiD FiLM, emerging from the burgeoning underground scene of creative computer graphics and demo-scene aesthetics. It was conceived as a special media project that explored the intersection of geometric abstraction and digital connectivity, serving as a signature artifact of the studio's experimental approach to multimedia production during the early 2000s.
The design draws heavily from the technical capabilities of the era, focusing on wireframe structures and fluid, algorithmic animation techniques. The creators aimed to push the boundaries of digital visual storytelling, prioritizing a sterile, mathematical beauty that defined the collective’s signature style. Upon its release, it was regarded by digital art enthusiasts as a sophisticated, albeit niche, technical achievement that prioritized conceptual form over traditional narrative.
