Pokémon Masters EX: 4.5 Year Celebration!

The Pokémon Masters EX 4.5 Year Celebration animation was produced by Liberty Animation Studio to commemorate the long-running mobile title's milestone anniversary. Released in early 2024, the ONA serves as a vibrant, high-energy promotional piece designed to highlight the game's expansive roster of trainers and their partner Pokémon. It utilizes the studio's signature fluid animation style to bridge the gap between the game's 3D models and traditional 2D character designs, effectively capturing the spirit of the franchise.

The creative direction for this project focused on dynamic character interaction and nostalgia, intentionally showcasing iconic duos from across the series history to engage both longtime players and newcomers. By centering the narrative on the camaraderie between trainers, the animation aims to reinforce the emotional core of the Pokémon Masters EX experience. Upon release, the piece was well-received by the player community for its polished aesthetics and successful distillation of the game's celebratory atmosphere.
