Pole Princess!!: Pole Dance Show Movie

Pole Princess!! was launched by Avex Pictures in 2022 as a multimedia project designed to elevate pole dancing from a niche interest to a central narrative theme in Japanese animation. The production was conceived to bridge the gap between high-energy musical performance and character-driven storytelling, utilizing a distinctive blend of traditional 2D character animation and high-fidelity 3D motion capture to replicate the technical complexities of professional pole maneuvers.

The character designs and visual aesthetic were curated to emphasize fluid, athletic choreography, prioritizing realism in the physical movements performed by the protagonists. While the project initially began with a series of digital shorts, the positive response from the idol-anime community encouraged the expansion into a feature-length film, which focused on refining the technical presentation of the sport within the context of competitive performance art.
