RGB

RGB is a collaborative project produced by the Japanese animation studio CloverWorks. Developed as part of a series of promotional short films, it was designed to showcase the studio's technical capabilities and distinct visual identity following its separation from A-1 Pictures. The project serves as an artistic exercise in color theory and fluid motion, intended to highlight the studio's proficiency in blending traditional hand-drawn aesthetics with modern digital compositing techniques.

The conceptual direction behind RGB focused on the interplay of light and shadow, utilizing the primary color palette as a narrative device to drive the atmospheric tone of the piece. Upon its release, the project was received favorably by the animation community, drawing praise for its polished character designs and the seamless integration of vibrant color palettes. It remains a notable example of CloverWorks' commitment to maintaining high-quality production standards within the competitive landscape of contemporary anime studios.
