Where it came from
Ringing Fate is a web-based original net animation produced by the Chinese streaming platform Bilibili. Developed as part of the studio's broader efforts to expand its original content library, the series was designed to showcase high-quality animation production within the domestic Chinese market, aiming to appeal to a demographic interested in character-driven narratives and atmospheric storytelling.
The visual direction focuses on contemporary aesthetics often found in modern Chinese animation, emphasizing fluid motion and stylized character designs. Upon its release, the production was noted for its commitment to experimental animation techniques, serving as a distinct example of Bilibili's push to foster original intellectual property rather than relying solely on adaptations of existing web novels or manhua.
