Sasaki and Peeps Season 2

Sasaki and Peeps Season 2 was announced following the conclusion of the first season, which was produced by the studio SILVER LINK. and aired in early 2024. The series is based on the light novel series written by Buncololi and illustrated by Kantoku, focusing on the comedic and fantastical life of a salaryman who acquires a prophetic bird from another world. The decision to greenlight a second season reflects KADOKAWA's continued investment in the franchise as part of their broader initiative to adapt popular light novel properties for international streaming audiences.

The production maintains the core creative vision established in the initial run, which aimed to blend mundane office life with high-fantasy elements through a satirical lens. Kantoku’s original character designs are central to the series' aesthetic, characterized by a refined, light-novel-typical art style that balances grounded character expressions with the whimsical, often absurd nature of the supernatural supporting cast. The reception of the second season is framed by its predecessor's performance, aiming to capitalize on established fan interest in the series' idiosyncratic genre-mixing.
