Sharon no Teryouri vs Mew no Cosplay vs Nina no Kisei Jijitsu Mitsudomoe no Kessen

This special release emerged in 2009 as a niche promotional tie-in within the broader Mitsudomoe franchise, a manga and anime series created by Norio Sakurai. The title reflects the series' signature brand of chaotic, often irreverent humor, which focuses on the mischievous antics of the Marui triplets. As a supplemental production, it was designed to bridge the gap between the established manga chapters and the anticipated television anime adaptation, serving as a playful excursion for fans of the source material.

The creative direction for this piece was rooted in the studio's desire to experiment with the distinctive character designs established by Sakurai, which balance high-energy slapstick with a deceptive sense of innocence. By leaning into the surreal and self-referential themes inherent in the franchise, the creators sought to capture the specific tonal shifts that made the manga a cult success. Upon release, it was received primarily as a collector's curiosity, valued by dedicated followers of the Mitsudomoe universe for its commitment to the series' absurd comedic sensibilities.
