Shenguo Zhi Shang

Shenguo Zhi Shang, titled in English as 'Above the Divine Realm,' is an original net animation produced by the Chinese studio CG Year. Released as part of the studio's broader efforts to expand its portfolio of 3D-animated fantasy narratives, the project draws heavily from the aesthetic and thematic conventions of traditional Chinese xianxia and wuxia literature. It was conceived during a period of significant growth for domestic Chinese animation, where studios were increasingly leveraging high-fidelity motion capture and proprietary 3D rendering pipelines to compete with regional counterparts.

The creative direction for the series focuses on detailed character modeling and fluid combat choreography, hallmarks of CG Year's technical approach. The design language reflects a fusion of historical architectural motifs and high-fantasy stylization, intended to create an immersive, visually dense world. Upon its release, the production was recognized primarily by audiences of the domestic streaming platform Tencent Video, serving as a continuation of the studio’s commitment to episodic, serial storytelling within the rapidly evolving Chinese animation industry.
