Shenming Zhi Zhou

Shenming Zhi Zhou, also known as The Boat of Gods, is a Chinese original net animation produced by the streaming platform iQIYI. It emerged during a period of significant expansion for the Chinese animation industry, which saw platforms like iQIYI investing heavily in domestic intellectual property to compete with both international imports and traditional television productions. The series reflects a broader trend in the medium toward high-fidelity 3D computer animation that leans into fantasy and xianxia aesthetics to appeal to younger, digital-native audiences.

The series was developed as part of iQIYI's strategy to capture the market for serialized, fantasy-driven content that integrates mythological themes with modern technical production standards. While specific design credits for the individual artists are often part of a larger, studio-led pipeline common in the Chinese animation sector, the aesthetic focus was clearly on creating a visually striking world that utilizes high-contrast character design and intricate environmental modeling to distinguish itself within the platform's vast library.
