Where it came from
The Everlasting Guilty Crown was released in 2012 by Sony Music Entertainment as a commemorative compilation album celebrating the conclusion of the anime series Guilty Crown. The collection was designed to encapsulate the sonic identity of the show, bringing together the influential opening and closing themes alongside original soundtrack selections that defined the series' futuristic, dystopian atmosphere.
The album reflects the collaborative effort between the studio and the composers, most notably Hiroyuki Sawano, whose epic orchestral and electronic hybrid scores became a hallmark of the franchise. It was received by fans as a definitive audio companion to the series, serving as a testament to the high production values typical of the studio's involvement in late 2000s and early 2010s anime multimedia projects.
